VL Drive integrates securely with Google Drive to give you seamless file sharing capabilities. Here's what you need to know:

OAuth 2.0 Authentication: We use industry-standard OAuth 2.0 for secure authorization

  • No Credential Storage: We never store your Google password or sensitive credentials. OAuth tokens are handled securely.
  • Minimal Permissions: We request only the minimum permissions needed to access and share your files.
  • Revocable Access: You can revoke our access to your Drive at any time from your Google Account settings.
  • Encrypted Tokens: Any temporary tokens are encrypted and never exposed.

What We Can Do: Browse your files, create secure share links, and transfer files with your permission.

What We Cannot Do: We cannot access, modify, or delete any of your Drive files without your explicit action.

Transfer to Drive: Complete Safety Explained

The "Transfer to Drive" feature is one of our most secure and privacy-respecting features. When you log in and use this feature, here's exactly what happens:

Your Google credentials never touch our servers. Everything stays encrypted on your device.
We Never See Your Files
Files transfer directly to your Drive. We act as a secure facilitator, not a middleman.

The Step-by-Step Process:

1. Login with Google: You authenticate directly with Google using OAuth 2.0. Your credentials go directly to Google, never through our servers.

2. Authorization on Your Device: The authorization token is stored securely in your local storage.

3. Direct Transfer: When you transfer files, they go directly from the source to your Google Drive.

4. No Interception: We facilitate the connection but never see, store, or analyze the file contents or metadata.

5. Complete Disconnect: When you're done, you can revoke access or clear your local storage completely.

Your Google Drive Account is Directly Connected: Files transfer directly to your Drive. Even if our servers were compromised, your files would be safe in your Google Drive account.
